WE WILL NEVER CHANGE THE WORLD BY GOING TO CHURCH...WE WILL ONLY CHANGE THE WORLD BY BEING THE CHURCH

Welcome to the                  website!

Project Homerun is a fundraising campaign born out of prayer in January of 2017  and executed by a group of men who play softball for Trinity Lutheran Church out of Elkhart. That one simple prayer was, “Lord, let this season make a difference in the lives of the team…and he answered…in order to make a difference in their lives, make a difference in the lives of others!”

Since then Project Homerun, with no advertising or operating budget, has raised over $50,000 for local non-profits in our very community. Project Homerun each year selects a local non-profit operating in the Michiana area that is doing honorable and amazing work for those we share our commutes, neighborhoods and even workplaces with. This is done through collections in two different fashions; pledges and lump sum donations. Pledges are done on a per homerun basis, pledge $3 and the team hits 50 homeruns; $150 will be owed to the campaign. Lump sum donations and pledges are recommended to be done by the way of checks made out to the year’s recipient (cash is also accepted).  100% of all pledges and donations are given directly to the recipient as all Project Homerun advertising materials and website costs  are donated or paid for out of pocket of Ty Miller (Trinity’s coach) or donations of others.

The 2023 recipient of Project Homerun again will be Sleep in Heavenly Peace - IN, Elkhart Co. Sleep in Heavenly Peace has a powerful slogan "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town." To learn more about Sleep in Heavenly Peace check out the Elkhart County's local Facebook page HERE or visit their page on the national page HERE. This choice was the result of numerous  nominations and a nearly unanimous vote when choosing the recipient.
